The Syracuse Lightning are excited to welcome Tanner Coleman to the coaching staff as NCDC Assistant Coach and Premier Team Head Coach.
A native of Oswego, NY, Coleman’s hockey roots run deep in Central New York. He spent much of his youth career with the Syracuse Blazers, winning an 18U New York State Championship under Lightning NCDC Head Coach Bob Shattell. The two have continued to work closely through Shattell’s Salt City Prospects organization.
Coleman brings experience from both the collegiate and professional levels, including four seasons of NCAA Division III hockey and nearly 60 games in the FPHL with the Elmira River Sharks, Mississippi Sea Wolves and Monroe Moccasins.
“As someone who grew up watching junior hockey in Syracuse, I’m so excited to see it come back. I can’t wait to work alongside Coach Shattell and the rest of the Lightning organization. I look forward to this next chapter in my hockey journey and helping these young men get ready for the next level.”
Welcome to the Lightning, Coach Coleman! ⚡
